Wood Filler and Glue
Step 1: Cut the Gun Rack Pieces - Determine the desired size of the Rifle Rack

Select the two, 1" x 6" stock; cut two pieces 6" x 38 1/4"; draw and cut out a pattern on heavy paper per the dimensions provided above; trace the pattern onto the two boards

Select the two boards and cut out the pattern on the drill press (for the 1 3/4" holes) and the band saw to make the two Side pieces

Select the two Side pieces; sand the Side pieces and router the edges

Select the 1" x 6" stock; cut two pieces 4" x 21" for the Top and Bottom Cross pieces; draw and cut out a pattern on heavy paper per the dimensions above; trace the pattern onto the two boards

Select the Top and Bottom pieces; cut out the pattern on the band saw; sand the pieces and router the edges

Select the 1" x 6" stock; cut two pieces 5 3/4" x 21" for the Bottom Shelf pieces Select the 1/4" Plywood; cut one piece 6 3/4" x 21" for the Shelf Back Panel
Step 2: Assemble the Gun Rack Pieces - Select all pieces

Using a drill drill the holes along the interior edges of the Top and Bottom Cross Braces and the two Shelf Pieces, as shown above

Select the Top and Bottom Cross Braces and attach them to the Sides with appropriate screws (Note: align the Braces 1" from the tips of the Side pieces)

Select the two, Shelf pieces; place as shown above (align the front edges of the shelf with the front of the Side pieces)

Select the 1/4" Back Panel; with glue and brads or short screws, attach the Panel to the back of the shelf pieces
Step 3: Finish the Rifle Rack - Select the finishing materials

Fill all holes and cracks with filler; sand all surfaces

Apply poly
-
Hang the Gun Rack using the Top Cross Brace as the hanging bar; drill holes and screw it into two studs
